Notch Rook Swivel Pulley
The Notch Rook is a compact triple-attachment swivel pulley designed to give professional arborists a versatile connection point for climbing and work-positioning systems. Manufactured in the USA by Rock Exotica for Notch, the Rook combines an integrated swivel, pulley, and three attachment points in a compact component that can be used on a rope bridge, as a Prusik-minding pulley, with a positioning lanyard or flipline, or as a redirect.
The integrated swivel helps maintain alignment and reduce twisting as the climber moves through the canopy. Three rubber-lined attachment holes help minimize unwanted carabiner movement and reduce the potential for improper loading, while chamfered edges help protect rope from unnecessary wear. High-efficiency bearings provide smooth pulley operation for hitch tending and other climbing-system applications.
Milled from premium T6 aluminum, the Rook has a tensile strength of 28 kN and weighs just 5.6 oz. It accommodates rope bridges and lines up to 13 mm (1/2 in.) in diameter, making it a compact, multifunctional component for professional tree climbing and work positioning.
