The KONG Ovalone DNA Twist Lock ANSI is a high-strength carbon steel carabiner with a distinctive helical body that allows a 90-degree orientation change for connected equipment. This specialized geometry helps align descenders, rope clamps, fall arresters, and other compatible devices in professional rope access, technical rescue, and fall protection systems.
The connector features a two-action Twist Lock automatic locking sleeve that requires the user to rotate the sleeve and open the gate. Its twisted oval body lets connected equipment sit perpendicular to the attachment point, improving orientation in applications requiring an offset connection.
Manufactured from carbon steel, the Ovalone DNA provides a 40 kN major-axis strength rating and a 15 kN minor-axis strength rating.
The Lunar White finish uses a zinc-nickel treatment that provides twice the corrosion resistance of conventional black zinc plating, according to KONG's salt-spray testing under UNI EN ISO 9227. The treatment also provides a uniform finish and improved scratch resistance.
