The Singing Rock SIR is a robust multipurpose descender designed for industrial rope access, rescue, work positioning, and belaying applications. Its versatile design allows it to function as a rope descender, belay device, and semi-automatic work-positioning device for use on roofs, edges, and other work-at-height environments.
The SIR uses a lever-operated cam to control movement on the rope. Pulling the lever gradually releases the cam for controlled descent. If the lever is pulled fully to its terminal position, the integrated anti-panic function engages and locks the rope, providing an additional safeguard against uncontrolled descent. The device features straightforward rope installation and an open design without concealed mechanisms, simplifying inspection before use.
