Petzl TWIN RELEASE SYSTEM
The Petzl TWIN RELEASE SYSTEM is a pre-assembled, ready-to-use hauling and lowering system designed for vertical access and rescue in industrial environments. Built for attachment to a tripod or fixed overhead anchor, it is particularly well suited for confined-space rescue and other operations requiring controlled raising and lowering of personnel or loads.
The system provides a 4:1 mechanical advantage, reducing the effort required to manage loads up to 280 kg (approximately 620 lb). The TWIN RELEASE progress-capture pulley is releasable under load and incorporates an auxiliary brake for additional control during lowering. Its toothless cam helps preserve the rope and provides a smooth transition between hauling and lowering operations.
Delivered fully assembled in a 30-liter Petzl BUCKET bag, the system provides a maximum working height of 15 m (approximately 50 ft). It can also be used to tilt or orient a rescue litter and to tension a tripod, making it a versatile system for confined-space, industrial rescue, and technical rescue teams.
