NRS Z-Drag Kit with 1/2" Sterling HTP Static Rope
The NRS Z-Drag Kit with HTP Static Rope is a complete mechanical-advantage system designed for heavy boat extraction, recovery, and technical water-rescue operations. The kit provides the components necessary to configure a 3:1 Z-Drag system for multiplying pulling force when righting, releasing, or recovering pinned rafts and other watercraft.
This configuration includes 150 feet of 1/2-inch Sterling HTP Static Rope. The larger static rope provides the working line for the mechanical-advantage system, while the included pulleys, carabiners, tubular webbing, and prusik cord provide the supporting hardware required to construct the Z-Drag.
The included Z-Drag Rescue Crib Sheet illustrates the 3:1 Z-Drag as well as additional mechanical-advantage systems and rope knots used in rescue work. All components pack into the included 40-liter Purest Mesh Duffel Bag for organized transport and storage.
NRS designed the Z-Drag Kit for heavy boat extractions, including unpinning, righting, and recovering watercraft. The system may also be used for smaller boats, although NRS offers a smaller dedicated kit for kayak applications.
