KONG HMS CLASSIC RISE LOCK Pear Carabiner | 22 kN Aluminum

The KONG HMS CLASSIC RISE LOCK is an aluminum pear-shaped connector with KONG's patented RISE Lock™ sleeve. The classic wide-base HMS shape suits belaying with a clove hitch or Munter hitch and works with all belay and anchor systems, at the station or on the harness.

To open it you must rotate the sleeve and then open the gate in that order. If rope twists around the sleeve or it rubs on an edge, the lock stops it from opening accidentally.
