The Harken PowerSeat is a gas-powered in-seat ascender and descender designed for professional vertical rope access, rescue, industrial maintenance, wind energy, offshore, inspection, and rigging applications. Its integrated seat keeps the operator upright, reducing fatigue and helping technicians work efficiently while ascending, descending, or remaining positioned at height.

A dead-man control provides variable ascent speeds up to 15 m/min (49.2 ft/min), while the integrated fail-safe braking system controls descent and helps prevent uncontrolled free fall. The PowerSeat is constructed from durable, corrosion-resistant materials and incorporates alloy-steel gears, stainless-steel pins, and steel bearings for dependable operation in demanding professional environments.

In addition to vertical personnel access, the PowerSeat can be used in horizontal configurations for material hauling and as a fixed-point rigging device for rescue operations.
