DMM Nomad Work Positioning Lanyard

The DMM Nomad is a friction-hitch-based work positioning lanyard system designed for professional arborists, rope access, rescue, and work-at-height applications. Engineered to provide smooth adjustment and multiple positioning configurations, the Nomad combines purpose-designed rope and hitch cordage with DMM hardware for reliable performance, durability, and efficient movement while working on rope.

The system incorporates DMM’s Triple Attachment Pulley 2 (TAP 2), an Ultra O Locksafe connector, and Fidus 8.5 mm Eye-to-Eye hitch cord. The TAP 2 advances the friction hitch with minimal sit-back and provides three attachment holes for additional work-positioning configurations. All components are replaceable, helping extend the system's service life. 

Nomad is available in two rope diameters. The 12.8 mm version handles better in cold, wet conditions and offers increased cut resistance, while the lighter 11.8 mm version is optimized for warm, dry conditions and reduced system weight. Both use a 24-strand polyester cover over a nylon core for excellent grip, abrasion resistance, and dependable handling.

The Nomad can be configured for doubled or single work positioning, restraint, end-to-end connection, and other certified positioning configurations. It is also certified for use as an anchor assembly for rescue involving loads of up to two persons. The system is not designed for fall arrest.
