Allegro 8" Axial Explosion-Proof Plastic Blower
The Allegro 8" Axial Explosion-Proof Plastic Blower is a compact, high-output ventilation system designed for confined spaces and hazardous-location environments where potentially flammable gases, vapors, dusts, or fibers may be present. Its portable design provides forced-air ventilation or extraction while maintaining the electrical protection required for demanding industrial and rescue applications.
The blower delivers up to 900 CFM of free-air flow. With one 90-degree bend in the ducting, airflow is rated at 650 CFM, while two 90-degree bends provide 625 CFM. A 1/3 hp explosion-proof, single-phase motor operates on 115V AC power.
The lightweight safety-orange housing is constructed from polyethylene for resistance to corrosion, UV exposure, and many jobsite chemicals. A molded carrying handle simplifies transport, while the steel powder-coated grille protects the fan assembly. The compact design weighs approximately 17 pounds, making it practical for deployment around manholes, tanks, utility vaults, industrial facilities, and other confined-space entry points.
The blower is designed for hazardous locations and meets Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D, and Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups F and G requirements. The motor is UL Listed and CSA Certified. An explosion-proof socket is required for operation and is sold separately.
